Elevate Arts is an aerial arts company delivering high impact performance and high caliber instruction for audiences of all ages and abilities in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Founded and directed by Sharon Witting, Elevate Arts is available for public performances, corporate events, group classes, artistic residencies, team-building workshops, private lessons, and creative collaboration. Classically trained in ballet and modern dance, Sharon began flying at the San Francisco School of Circus Arts in 1999, was a founding member of Air Dance Bernasconi, and continues her training at the New England Center for Circus Arts. She is co-founder of the award-winning Arachne Aerial Arts, DC's first aerial arts company that performed in theaters, museums, galleries, and festivals for more than a decade. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Washington & Lee University and an M.A.T. in Museum Education from George Washington University.
